The Loving-Kindness and Mindfulness (originally Fridays at 12:15 pm) classes have merged as one class.
Each week we’ll either do a loving-kindness practice or a mindfulness practice.
Loving-Kindness: Explore the simple but transformative practice of directing well wishes towards yourself and others. This guided metta meditation is meant to evoke loving kindness as a way to cultivate compassion and empathy and will help you open your heart to be happier.
Mindfulness is the process of developing one’s attention to whatever is happening in the present moment. In this guided class, students will learn mindfulness techniques to maintain a moment-by-moment awareness of thoughts, feelings, bodily sensations, and the surrounding environment.
It is best to arrive 5-10 minutes early for our events so we can start on time and not have the session interrupted.
This session takes place on Thursdays at 10 am.
