In March, we will explore how we can use meditation to calm the chaos that we sometimes feel within our minds. These meditations will be simple and will help you to build your "concentration" muscles.

     Upcoming Dates

    • March 3rd
    • March 17th
    • March 31st

Newcomers to Meditation are encouraged to join us for the first 15 minutes to learn information on how meditation can assist you in your life, ask questions, and practice a short five-minute centering meditation.

At 10:45 am we will begin our formal instruction and practice session.

The class will run a total of 75 minutes.

Please arrive on time. There will be a sign on the door when we are in meditation so we are not disturbed by people entering. Do not enter if the door is closed! Prepare accordingly to arrive 5-10 minutes ahead of our scheduled time.

Also be sure to turn off your cell phone preferably before you enter the room.

Latecomers and cell phones ringing disrupt the flow and silence of the meditation practice. Please be mindful and respectful of the other practitioners. This is why these ground rules are in place.

The nature of this class is my instruction presentation and a practice of the presented meditation. I incorporate a variety of meditations into our sessions paired with a monthly theme. There are 2-3 meditation presentation/practice periods depending on time. Each meditation practice, depending on my discretion, will be approximately 10-15 minutes.

I ask that you keep your comments and questions to the sharing period after our practices, and related to what we have just practiced. After our session, I am happy to answer any further questions or listen to additional comments. This is not meant to be a discussion group.

After the session ends, if you wish to speak on other topics, please do so in the hallway or parking lot. It is important that we maintain sacred space in the room for our practice.

You will also receive handouts at the class so you can practice at home. You can bring a meditation cushion if you choose, or you can easily sit in a chair for the meditation. Dress comfortably and you can bring a pillow for your back if feel you need to do so while sitting in a chair.

Various types of meditation traditions will be presented with monthly themes. The topics include Mindfulness Meditation, Meditation for Stress Relief, Meditation for Well-Being, Overcoming Obstacles in Meditation, Meditation for Positive Emotions, Different Types of Meditation, Meditation for Relaxation and many more.

Sign up below to be on our email list for upcoming topics.
