Meditation is experiencing a state of pure awareness. Through calming the mind and emotions you can experience a state of peace and tranquility.
Meditation is also known to relax the body and reverse the damaging effects of stress. It also eases tension, anxiety and depression.
Through the practice of meditation and the observation of your thoughts, you develop the power to discriminate between those thoughts that are useful and those that are not. From the state of meditation you can experience both negative and positive emotions and maintain the knowledge of the peaceful Self.
